Taking life easy. Weather very agreeable. Today Lt. Marshall Field took 3 of us to town to visit Winchester Cathedral -- one of the most historic and beautiful in England. The sexton lectured us on its history. Saw many historic relics, including old stone caskets containing the remains of King Egbert and other Saxon Kings, whose reigns antedated the Norman Conquest in 1066!
