This is the collective memoirs of George W. Tomek, Sr., who fought on the Western Front as part of the 122nd Regiment Field Artillery 33rd Division of the American Expeditionary Forces during the Great War.
(6:30pm) -- Steaming past the beautiful Isle of Wight on HMS Courtfield, - just out of Southhampton. Hydroplanes droning overhead. Just passed hulks of 2 big submerged ships with only masts showing -- apparently torpedoed.
