This is the collective memoirs of George W. Tomek, Sr., who fought on the Western Front as part of the 122nd Regiment Field Artillery 33rd Division of the American Expeditionary Forces during the Great War.
Arrived Camp 6:00pm -- after 6 mile hike with full packs up long, winding hills. British Camp No. 1. Wine and warm beer at the canteen for 3d pint. Ugh! On guard duty today. Ordered to make up packs -- we leave tomorrow -- for where??
